Update on Reference
Collections of Orchid Flowers

Natalie Warford writes to extol the virtues of Scotch Book Tape 845 (50.8mm x 13.7m), manufactured by the 3M Company. It is labeled as permanent and "will not discolor, crack, or peel" and is "not affected by moisture, skin oils, etc." She has used it for all of her reference cards but advises that the tape is rather scarce and difficult to find. She also recommends attaching a small packet to the card to contain the gynostemium or column, which can then be plumped up with ammonia for further reference.
