Van der Burgt. 1997 Explosive seed dispersal of the rainforest tree Tetraberlinia morelina (Leguminosae - Caesalpiniodeae) in Gabon. This study shows that the explosively dehiscent pod of this leguminous tree ( known from west Gabon and southwest Cameroon) disperses the seeds at up to 60m from the parent tree. This is the longest explosive seed dispersal distance ever recorded in the literature.
