By Underground
Kew Gardens Station is 15 minutes from Earls Court and 28 minutes from Westminster on the District Line. Walk to Victoria Gate (10 mins). Check Transport for London for any planned engineering work.
By Train
Kew Bridge Station (South West Trains) is 28 minutes from Waterloo or 18 minutes from Clapham Junction. Walk across Kew Bridge to the Main Gate on Kew Green (10mins).
Kew Gardens Station (London Overground, North London Line) is 14 minutes from Willesden Junction or 27 minutes from Hampstead Heath. Walk to Victoria Gate (10 mins).
By Bus
Two buses pass Victoria Gate and Kew Green (for Main Gate):
- 65 — Ealing Broadway, Brentford, Kew, Richmond, Kingston
- 391 — Richmond, Kew, Stamford Brook, Hammersmith, Fulham Broadway
By Road
Coming on the M4 exit at Junction 2. Proceed to Chiswick roundabout and take the south exit. Follow the A205 over the River Thames at Kew Bridge and turn immediately right at Kew Green for the car park (follow signposts).
Coming on the A316 or M3 turn left at the Richmond roundabout onto Kew Road (A307) and Kew Green is a further two miles on your left for the car park.
Coming on the South Circular shortly after passing Kew Retail Park you arrive at traffic lights where the A307 joins from the left. Go through the junction and immediately turn left at Kew Green for car park.

Parking
Kew's car park is limited to 300 cars and can be reached via Kew Green. The car park closes half-an-hour after the Gardens, so is only suitable for day visitors and costs £5. Free parking is available in permitted spaces on Kew Road (A307) after 10am, although please bear-in-mind this can get congested at peak times.
Coaches are advised to park on Kew Road (A307) and are not allowed to park around Kew Green.
By Bicycle
There are bike racks at Victoria Gate, Main Gate and Brentford Gate.
