Moore at Kew - Opening 15 September 2007

FlickrFlickr

Flickr is a photo-sharing website. It's a place where you can put your photos and show them to friends, family, and the whole world. It's free to join, and millions of people (including us) are already members.

The great thing about Flickr is that by tagging your images with keywords, and by submiiting tem to groups, other people can find them.

Why is Kew using Flickr?

Flickr allows us to show the images you've uploaded to Flickr on the Kew website (if you let us). There is a Moore At Kew group, and by submitting your images to this group you're saying — "I'm proud of this image! What do you think?"

If we like it, we'll make sure it gets seen on the Moore At Kew website. And Flickr fans who keep an eye on Kew pictures will also see your work.

What is tagging?

Tags are like keywords. Tagging is very important. You need to tag your images correctly if they are to be seen on the Kew website. For images of the Moore sculptures, use mooreatkew, or for pictures of natural forms use naturalforms.

What about the Photo Showcase?

As far as Flickr goes, to enter the competition you need to submit your images to the Moore At Kew group with the tags of mooreatkew and naturalforms.

Getting used to Flickr

Flickr is a new toy, and takes a little getting used to. Submitting your first image to the Moore At Kew group may take a few goes. If you have an questions about the process, email us, and as well as answering it we'll add your question to our FAQ.
