Wild Wood Exhibition

On throughout the festival, in the Chapel at Wakehurst Place

Drawing inspiration from the Wakehurst landscape, local artist Ali McNab, will recreate the wonders of the Wild Wood. Set in the peaceful environment of the Wakehurst Chapel this stunning exhibition will help to explain the importance of conserving our natural heritage. A series of organic sculptures will emphasise the mysteries of our native woodlands, including an ever-watchful ‘Green Man’. Over time the exhibition will transform from spring to summer – just as nature intended.

Her inspiration came from exploring the wilder and more mysterious areas of the 500-acre Wakehurst Place estate. The natural materials used in the exhibition were carefully selected during winter coppicing in nearby Pearcelands Wood.
