Andrew Luke …Diverse-city

“This rich green oasis is confined by a boundary as often happens in urban areas. Diversity in such small areas can be surprisingly large, with the beautiful wild flowers attracting many animal species.

The natural habitats of many of the plant species here are under threat from human activities. Growing UK flora is a worthwhile and low maintenance pursuit!"

"Designing a visually attractive garden using all native plants is difficult but I feel the design works well. This experience has taught me the importance of regular site visits during construction.

My favourite part of the garden is the turf-topped stone wall which has had many positive comments from visitors. In late summer I am looking forward to seeing the meadow and woodland underplanting in full bloom."
