The following field data form is available for anyone to use and submit to the project. The field data form incorporates a preliminary physiognomic classification of the vegetation of Madagascar, which will evolve throughout the life of the project. It also includes site locality information, geology, soils, floristic composition, state of the vegetation and threats. The field data form is the means by which the remote sensing data is validated, and the source of essential detail that will ensure the accuracy and utility of the map for conservation purposes. Field data forms can submit electronically or by email or post – see contacts. Explanatory notes on filling out the field data form are also provided below.
