Wild View in the Gardens

1 April - 30 June

Follow the trials and tribulations of this year's nesting season. Camera ready nest boxes are being installed throughout the Wakehurst estate, linked through to monitors in the Visitor Centre.

Woodland bluebells at Wakehurst PlaceSpring Flower Sundays

See our beautiful spring bulbs and wonderful carpets of woodland bluebells

27 April & 11 May

Minibus tours of the estate for visitors with mobility disabilities who can enjoy the lakes and woodlands not accessible to wheelchairs.

4 May

Guided walks around the gardens

Davidia - Chinese plantChinese Plant Extravaganza

1 - 31 May

Discover the wealth of Chinese species that have become traditional British garden plants. Follow our themed family trail. Buy complementary plants and gifts in the Visitor Centre and enjoy seasonal food with a Chinese flavour in The Stables Restaurant.

Take part in our Eggsplorers Easter Trail 11am-4pm
£2 inc. Chocolate and craft activities in The Mansion

5 - 20 April

Take a look at the display in the Mansion and have fun testing your plant knowledge.

Wild and Woolly Half Term

27 - 29 May

10.30am-3.30pm

Science and art activities for all.

Go wild with wool, make a Chinese panda or dress our willow sheep to create a multi-coloured flock. Experiment with natural dyes made from wild plants and vegetables.
