Justin Turner, graduated 1999, 
        Landscape Restoration SpecialistThere is considerable demand for Kew-trained personnel with opportunities occurring in all branches of horticulture. Former graduates occupy high-ranking positions in botanic gardens, local authority parks and recreation departments, the National Trust, private gardens, educational establishments, commercial nurseries, and landscape design and contractor firms. A number are self-employed specialists and consultants. Several work in the media. Opportunities exist to study for university Masters' level degrees, and professional qualifications administered by such organisations as the Landscape Institute, the Royal Horticultural Society, the Royal Forestry Society, and the Institute of Leisure and Amenities Management.

Career counselling and advice is offered as part of the diploma course to all students.
