Grow & Glow Microbes

Getting started with microbes to excite delivery at KS4 and KS5 with this hands-on curriculum led workshop

The day will progress through:

  • The basics - risk assessment, aseptic technique, disposal
  • Investigating the nitrogen cycle practically
  • Investigating the carbon cycle practically
  • Investigating antimicrobial activity
  • Using bioluminescent bacteria for detecting pollution

The workshop offers hands-on experience of straightforward, easily repeatable practical activities. Designed to support delivery of the GCSE, AS and A2. A wonderful enrichment to G&T programmes.

Participants will receive takeaway resources - dead and alive!
In association with MISAC and SGM.

£100 teacher bursary available for CPD courses in March!
