17th meeting
17th EBHL Annual Meeting, Montpellier, France, 26-29 April 2010
The 17th Annual Meeting will be held in 2010 in Montpellier, France, jointly with our colleagues in IAALD (the International Association of Agricultural Information Specialists), 26-29 April (see IAALD 2010). Planning is still in the early stages, but the conference will have the overall theme Scientific and Technical Information and Rural Development, with five sub-themes:
Innovative learning processes
Information services - the need for a continued redefinition
Communication and information exchange for multiple stakeholders
Information systems for structured and integrated information
Information products and services as public policy enablers
This will be a great opportunity to share experiences with international colleagues and to promote our collections and services to those who may be unfamiliar with them. Rest assured, however, that all the ‘traditional’ features of an EBHL meeting will be retained, including visits to gardens and libraries of botanical/horticultural interest (eg, Le Jardin des Plantes de Montpellier), talks about local institutions, opportunities for networking, and good food and drink!
