International Garden Photographer of the Year is a unique competition that is open to professional and amateur photographers. In fact, anyone who who loves taking pictures of plants and gardens.
Every photographer who enters the competition receives a personal email critique of their entry from the judges. Entries are welcome from any country in the world. There are no restrictions on the type of camera you use, or the techniques you use to produce your final image.

Competition categories and deadline for entries
There are seven categories open for this year's competition, including Plant Portraits, Garden Views and Trees, with awards for single images and portfolios. There is also a special award for the image that best portrays the ‘Spirit of the American Garden’.
The deadline for entries to the third International Garden Photographer of the Year competition is 30th November 2009.
What do I win?
There is an outstanding range of awards on offer for winners of the International Garden Photographer of the Year competition.
All competition winners will be displayed in a prestigious exhibition at Kew Gardens in 2010. There is also a top cash prize of £5000 as well as other awards, including a Royal Photographic Society Gold Medal.
