Kew is actively engaging with Rio Tinto business units around the world in Madagascar, Brazil, Namibia, Guinea, Bolivia and Chile to try to minimise the impact of commercial activities on biodiversity and maximise opportunities for conservation.

Rio Tinto also sees the value in supporting additional Kew projects in countries where they operate and where lessons learnt can be transferred to inform future activities at the business unit level.
