Woodland at Wakehurst
Horsebridge Wood
To walk through Horsebridge Wood is to walk through the woodlands of North America, with collections from six provinces: Appalachia, California, Vancouver, the Gulf & South Coast, the Rocky Mountains, and Canada. Trees are planted in distinct areas to represent their growing zones relative to each other in their native homeland. Species include Sweet Gum, Liquidamber styraciflua, Tulip Tree Liriodendron tulipifera, and the Snowdrop Tree Halesia carolina.
