Bulb planting at Wakehurst
A drift of flowering bulbs
Galanthus nivalis
Snowdrop
The common snowdrop flowers in late January, and for garden lovers, heralds the end of winter. Growing to a height of 15cm they provide the perfect welcome to Wakehurst Place and mark the dawning of springtime.
20,000 bulbs are planted beneath the Oaks, outside the Visitor Centre.
