Plant information:

Coffea arabica is a small tree native to South West Ethiopia but grown widely to produce coffee for drinking.

Members of the genus Acacia are shrubs or small trees of more than 1200 species, many native to Australia, others found through Africa, Southern Asia and the Americas.

Ruth Smith has spent many years collecting botanical jewellery from around the world and donated her large collection to Kew in 2005. It numbers over 200 items, made from various plant parts such as seeds and bark, from a wide range of species.
