Christmas 2008
Christmas at Kew
13 December 2008 - 1 January 2009
Escape the bustle of the high street, and enjoy a winter day out
at Kew Gardens.
Christmas at Kew is full of festive sparkle and activities for
all the family, with family storytelling, the entertaining Plantomime,
horse and carriage rides, as well as the chance to visit Father
Christmas. London's most magical ice rink also returns to the Gardens
for another festive skating season. This truly unique skating experience
in front of the Temperate House, runs from 29 November.
For the perfect winter day out, why not combine a visit to Father
Christmas with a turn on the ice? You can also visit the new Xstrata
treetop walkway to climb into the treetops and enjoy the wider
winter views revealed as the leaves disappear.
The Christmas season kicks off at Kew with a special opening weekend
on 13 and 14 December, when each day closes with a traditional
carol concert at 3pm. |
