Kew's experts work with landscape designers to provide appropriate plant palettes and design ideas to fit landscapes across the world, in both urban and rural environments. In addition we can advise on horticultural aspects such as plant procurement and propagation requirements for the long-term sustainability of designed landscapes, as well as cutting-edge irrigation solutions.

Although the science of habitat restoration is a young discipline, Kew has been developing expertise in restoration. This includes the identification of required framework species, seed collection for propagation of framework or keystone species for particular habitats, setting up appropriate propagation processes for restoration and development of ‘roadmaps for restoration’ using Kew’s GIS capabilities.
