Are you good with kids?

Can you get on with anyone?

Can you make fun things happen?

Do you understand why children play?

We need part time volunteers to help Kews youngest visitors explore the amazing world of plants in ‘Climbers and Creepers’, a new and exciting play area for children under 10 with families.

This volunteer role would suit parents with children at school or persons looking for skills development, including placement students studying for a certificate in playwork, child care or early years development.

Those with experience of working with children are welcome, but even if you have no experience at all, don’t worry- training will be given!

Full training will be given in skills for working with young children to encourage learning through play. Volunteers will work as part of a team to help facilitate and encourage use of play equipment and provide fun craft activities and games for children and families.

Applicants should have good communication and team working skills and enjoy being with children.
