PR & Communications Manager

Hours of Work: Part time (4 days per week)

Job Status: 12 month Fixed term appointment

Salary per annum: From £30,139 pro rata

Job Details:

To celebrate the 200th anniversary of the birth of Charles Darwin, we are conducting an ambitious project, funded and supported by The Wellcome Trust to engage every primary school in the UK. Every child will have an opportunity to experience the beauty and wonder of the plants in their environment.  

Playing a vital part in the delivery of this exciting and ground breaking project, you will deliver a clear communications and marketing strategy. You'll co-ordinate project partners, develop innovative media initiatives, maximise the project profile, and create a realistic take-up target. A natural communicator, you will already have developed an impressive relationship with the press.

With a significant media background in both the public and private sector, including PR, marketing and digital media, you will have worked with varied NGO and government partners. Your inspirational leadership style will be supported by strong influencing, teamwork and presentation skills, strategic thinking, and the credibility to build lasting relationships with both internal and external partners. An understanding of PRINCE II (or equivalent) project management processes would be ideal.

Salary is £30,139 per annum pro rata and benefits include 25 days holiday per year and a choice of defined benefit or stakeholder pension as well as a great work environment.
