International Garden Photographer of the Year exhibition opens at Kew for the May Bank Holiday

The third annual International Garden Photographer of the Year exhibition at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew opens on 1st May - 26 September 2010.
This year the exhibition is in a brand new location, located opposite to Kew’s two art galleries – the Marianne North Gallery and the Shirley Shewood Gallery of Botanical Art. The exhibition comprises over 100 inspirational garden and plant images from all over the world in a unique outdoor setting.

A book to accompany the exhibition, International Garden Photographer of the Year Collection 3, published by David and Charles, will be available to buy in Kew’s Victoria Plaza shop as well as online from 1 May. This stunning volume celebrates the winners and best entries from the International Garden Photographer of the Year 2009-2010 competition.

The fourth IGPOTY competition is now open. The closing date for submissions is 30 November 2010. Entries should be made online at www.igpoty.com
Opening hours until 29 August 2010:
- Monday - Friday: 9.30am – 6.30pm. Glasshouses, Galleries and the Treetop Walkway close at 5.30pm
- Weekends and Bank Holidays: 9.30am – 7.30pm.
- Glasshouses and Galleries close at 5.30. Treetop Walkway closes at 6.30pm
Admission: Adults £13.50, Concessions £11.50, FREE for children under 17 (accompanied by an adult).
