The Bentham-Moxon Trust supports travel to botanical institutions and attending conferences

The Trust provides assistance when special circumstances make it difficult for a departmental budget to cover the costs.

As an example, the Trust has supported conference attendance where there is a good case for RBG, Kew to be very well represented and the annual departmental budget is insufficient.

At the other extreme the Trust has helped to finance conference attendance where the conference is not central to RBG, Kew’s work but it is felt that a person’s attendance would be valuable. The application is more likely to be successful if the person is presenting a paper.

The Trust has also supported the extension of conference attendance or botanical institution visits by funding the extra days or extra travel.
