Kew Record of Taxonomic Literature

Kew Record

The Kew Record of Taxonomic Literature is a database of over 200,000 bibliographic references published between 1971 and 2007, relating to the taxonomy of flowering plants, gymnosperms, and ferns. Also included are references on phytogeography, nomenclature, chromosome surveys, chemotaxonomy, floras and botanical institutions, and papers of taxonomic interest in the fields of anatomy and morphology, palynology, embryology and reproductive biology along with relevant bibliographies and biographies.

Kew Record is available online and is searchable via ePIC. Published in print on a quarterly basis by TSO up to 2007. Entries are arranged by subject and there are author and genus indexes in each issue. Cumulated indexes are published in the final issue of every year. Most entries fall into systematic groups: those on pteridophyta and gymnospermae are arranged under classes subdivided by genera; the angiospermae entries are arranged by families in alphabetical order and are subdivided by genera. References of a more general nature appear under other subject headings.

Botanists, plant scientists, horticulturists, other researchers and academics, undergraduate and graduate students in related fields requiring access to specialist botanical literature will find this resource invaluable.
