The Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew is an internationally recognised and highly successful scientific research institute and visitor attraction that highlights the importance of plants in all our lives.

Kew is developing the ‘Breathing Planet Programme’ - a high profile project working with key partners globally to help reduce the extent and impact of climate change. The Programme highlights the role of Kew in addressing the major environmental challenges facing the world and underpins its wider mission to inspire and deliver sciencebased plant conservation worldwide, enhancing the quality of life.

Strategic financial planning and business change are critical to the realisation of this mission and Kew is now seeking to appoint a Head of Strategic and Financial Planning to model, plan and structure the resources needed to deliver it. This is a critical and unique new role that will provide leadership and oversight of all aspects of strategic, corporate and financial planning to enable the development of Kew and contribute to preserving the future of the planet.

With exceptional leadership qualities, you will be a qualified accountant with a proven track record in the development and implementation of strategic business, financial and organisational planning frameworks. An excellent communicator who has successfully led business change agendas, you will have the ability to work across a complex organisation, influencing key stakeholders and building strong relationships at a senior level.
