The Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew (Kew) is the world-leader in plant diversity science, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a major visitor attraction that shows the importance of plants in all our lives. Kew’s mission is to inspire and deliver science-based plant conservation worldwide, enhancing the quality of life.
Visitor Services staff are the ‘face of Kew’ to all of the many visitors that travel to Kew each year. These roles form part of Kew’s essential Visitor Services Team, and require individuals that can use their initiative to welcome and inform our visitors in an often fast-paced environment.
Within this role, you will work in a variety of locations around the gardens, to provide a welcoming, efficient and professional service to all visitors. You will also be expected to confidently and actively promote and sell tickets, guide books, memberships and Gift Aid. You will have a proven background of working in customer service and product sales and will demonstrate a passion for being helpful, friendly and customer focused. With an enthusiasm to learn and a natural interest in the Royal Botanic Gardens, you will also be confident in providing information and advice to visitors and responding to all queries in an articulate, knowledgeable and confident manner.
Salary is £15,632 per annum and benefits include 30 days holiday per year, a choice of defined benefit or stakeholder pension, a flexible benefits scheme as well as a great working environment.
