This role forms part of Kew’s PR team, which delivers strong media coverage for the organisation as well as broader corporate communications. You will be responsible for ensuring efficient day-to-day operations in the press office, acting as a PR champion within Kew to help improve external communications, and supporting the Head of Department.   

Your key responsibilities will be to maintain and develop the media and PR contact database, manage web resources for media, provide a daily media briefing to staff, compile campaign coverage logs and to organise, manage and accompany film crew visits.

You must be keen to work in a role requiring strong communication skills, handling multiple projects with the ability to effectively handle high-volumes of work under time pressure. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, be highly organised with great attention to detail as well as customer focused with skills to deal tactfully and knowledgeably with enquiries and situations.
