With over 500 acres including gardens, water features, wetlands, woodlands, Nature Reserve and a Grade 1 listed Elizabethan Mansion, Wakehurst also houses 4 National Plant Collections. RBG Kew is a world leader in plant science and conservation, and Wakehurst is home to the world famous Millennium Seed Bank.

In this role, you will lead, manage, develop and support the Visitor Services team, providing first line management in a customer-focused environment. Based at Wakehurst Place, this role is instrumental to delivering Kew’s Breathing Planet Programme and is focused on enhancing the visitor experience through the provision of enjoyable and inspiring experiences with the aim of raising revenue.

An organised and motivated individual, with a minimum of two A levels or equivalent, you will have extensive experience of managing visitor site services. You will be a proven team leader with a background in a front-line customer service environment and possess excellent numerical and analytical skills. Authoritative and approachable, you will have the ability to continually appraise the operation from a visitor perspective, and will demonstrate effective communication, relationship building and customer care skills, including the ability to deal with public and staff in difficult situations.

Salary is from £22,056 per annum and benefits include 30 days holiday per year, a choice of pensions, a flexible benefits scheme as well as a great working environment.
