These roles are responsible for the delivery and management of high quality, horticultural displays, designed to educate and inspire visitors and support the continued conservation and research functions at Kew. Working within the horticultural section which curates the hardy woody plant collections, you will be working with, managing and developing a team of horticultural staff, setting clear objectives and providing guidance and carrying out appraisals to maximise the team’s performance.

With a minimum qualification of NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent), you will have significant experience of working in horticulture and in particular, of cultivating and maintaining hardy trees and shrubs. As well as an excellent communicator with the in depth knowledge, confidence and presentation skills to be a source of information to both colleagues and visitors, you will be a confident  team manager, able to prioritise the team’s work and identify opportunities for staff development.

Salary is £22,056 per annum and benefits include 30 days holiday per year plus bank holidays, a choice of pensions, a flexible benefits scheme as well as a great working environment.
