JOB DETAILS:

Kew is the world-leader in plant diversity science, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and a major visitor attraction, that shows the importance of plants in all our lives. Kew’s mission is to inspire and deliver science-based plant conservation worldwide, enhancing the quality of life. 

Working with our newly appointed Director of Science, this brand new role will focus on determining and implementing our science communication strategy, enhancing our reputation as a science institution. You will be expected to create the necessary materials to promote Kew science for varied audiences and lead on the development and implementation of a series of international symposia at Kew on key science topics.

With a PhD or MSc in a plant related subject and relevant science experience, you will have significant experience of writing, editing and preparing complex scientific information for publishing on varied channels, for a variety of audiences. An analytical and creative thinker, with excellent writing skills and highly developed interpersonal and influencing skills, you will also demonstrate a strong background in project management and of developing and managing relationships.
