We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced team leader/ manager to join our Horticulture Department. As part of the Hardy Display Section, you will be supervising and working with teams responsible for the development of new and exciting outdoor horticultural features in the most visited part of the Gardens, as well as maintaining and improving the existing collections. You will manage, coach and develop staff and students to maximise effectiveness and ensure high horticultural standards that inspire and educate visitors. Supporting Festivals and Events by creating new horticultural displays to increase visitor numbers and income generation, is an important part of this role.

With a NVQ level 3 or above in Horticulture you will have recent and significant professional experience of horticultural staff management and of working in practical horticulture, caring for a range of hardy shrubs, herbaceous plants, bulbs and turf. Highly organised and with good communication skills, you will have proven experience of coaching and motivating staff and the ability to use initiative in solving horticultural problems.

Salary will be £22,056 per annum. Benefits include 30 days holiday per year, a choice of pensions, a flexible benefits scheme as well as a great working environment.
