The Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew (Kew) is the world-leader in plant diversity science, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a major visitor attraction that shows the importance of plants in all our lives. Kew’s mission is to inspire and deliver science-based plant conservation worldwide, enhancing the quality of life.

Kew has a vast collection of scientific, historic and promotional digital images.  The information management systems (IMS) project is developing a central digital asset management (DAM) system to maximise the value of these assets by allowing them to be shared across the organisation. 

The Digital Asset Co-ordinator will be the business expert for Digital Asset Management (DAM) within the project team, managing differing needs across all digital image collections. You will work with Kew staff and suppliers to develop and maintain digital asset policies and procedures as well as design, test and implement the new systems.  This is a new role to develop and subsequently to administer the central system for digital assets, understanding and accommodating changing requirements.

You will have a relevant degree or equivalent experience; demonstrate experience of working in a digitisation environment, preferably developing and administering digital asset management systems. You will be an excellent communicator with all levels of stakeholders and audiences with strong accuracy and attention to detail.  Ability to work on own initiative is also required.
