The Library, Art & Archives department is responsible for organising and managing one of the world’s most comprehensive collections of botanical literature, art and Kew’s own archives and modern records, which form an unparalleled resource for a large and increasingly diverse global user community.

Joining our Collections & Services Team and reporting to the Archivist and Records Manager, this role is required to deliver RBG Kew’s mission by implementing improvements to the records management procedure and practice across the whole institution.  This will be achieved through working with our other Assistant Records Manager to systematically audit and review records, documents and images held and develop a file plan and retention schedule. 

You will work towards an electronic records and document management solution (EDRMS) for RBG Kew.  Providing support for Kew’s information legislation compliance work may also be required.

With a postgraduate qualification in records management or archive administration, the post-holder will be expected to have previous experience of working in a records management position.  In addition the successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be used to working with a wide range of stakeholders and have good organisational and time management skills.
