The Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew (Kew) is the world-leader in plant diversity science, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a major visitor attraction that shows the importance of plants in all our lives. Kew’s mission is to inspire and deliver science-based plant conservation worldwide, enhancing the quality of life.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Foundation department to lead on the provision of qualitative research profiles on potential statutory funding bodies, major donors, grant- givers and corporate sponsors for identified capital and revenue projects. The post holder will support the work of the Statutory Funding Manager in providing accurate information and forecasting on prospective institutional funders for Kew’s scientific and other programmes, as well as regular tracking reports of EU, UK government and Research Councils.
You will need to have demonstrable track record in fundraising with specific experience of prospect research or equivalent and familiarity with statutory and research funding sources. As well as excellent organisational and communications skills, you must have a creative approach to problem solving and an analytical mind.
