Job title: Partnership Manager (Northern Ireland), Grow Wild

SALARY PER ANNUM: £26 067 to £35 505 pro-rata per annum dependent on skills and experience

RBG Kew has been awarded a significant grant from the Big Lottery Fund to run a high-profile and ambitious UK-wide public engagement programme - Grow Wild. Working with a range of delivery partners, the Partnership Manager (Northern Ireland) will be responsible for delivering this initiative in Northern Ireland and ensuring it creates lasting benefits for a range of communities. 


At the heart of the Grow Wild programme is an ambitious mass participation campaign to inspire people, especially disadvantaged young people, to do something positive for where they live by sowing UK native wild flowers.

The campaign kicks off in spring 2014 and will involve a consortium of community and voluntary organisations across the UK and be supported by national and local media. In addition to transforming spaces and raising awareness of UK wild flowers, Grow Wild will bring communities together and engage young people with their local environment.

Reporting to the Lead Partnership Manager, you will take responsibility for developing a network of partners that will be essential to delivering Grow Wild in Northern Ireland. These partners are active in a range of areas. These include conservation action, youth volunteering and working with hard-to-reach young people. Other priorities include facilitating the set up, delivery and monitoring of a network of community engagement projects and inspiring applications for the Northern Ireland  flagship site. You will have excellent negotiation and relationship management skills, as well as experience of high-profile projects in the not-for-profit sector.

The post will be based in Belfast and will involve some UK-based travel.
