JOB DETAILS: Kew is the world-leader in plant diversity science, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and a major visitor attraction, that shows the importance of plants in all our lives. Kew’s mission is to inspire and deliver science-based plant conservation worldwide, enhancing the quality of life. 

Working in support of our Research Section/Seed Conservation Department, you will enable opportunities to secure funding can be identified and optimised  through the gathering and collation of information on funding calls and policy initiatives. You will also provide support in the laboratory by carrying out routine preparation and analysis of seeds using both new and existing techniques.

With a degree in either biology or Biochemistry, you will have solid experience of working in a research laboratory and of writing scientific or policy reports to a very high standard. Proven ability in developing operating procedures for equipment and an awareness of science administration and/or policy are also essential. You will be a conscientious worker with a keen eye for detail, a meticulous approach to tasks and with excellent knowledge of data handling, analysis and presentation.
