Kew is the world-leader in plant diversity science, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and a major visitor attraction, that shows the importance of plants in all our lives. Kew’s mission is to inspire and deliver science-based plant conservation worldwide, enhancing the quality of life. 

Reporting to the Head of Product Management, you will provide operational and strategic support. You will identify and exploit sustainable business opportunities within the core Kew sciences of botany and horticulture and lead market research, business intelligence and commercial analysis. You will analyse business requirements and work with the Kew Innovation Unit and individual product managers to define products that meet industry and Kew's needs, ensuring they are sustainable, show return on investment and align with commercial and/or scientific drivers. You will also be expected to lead on the development of suitable marketing strategies.

Product Management is new to Kew and as such, you will use your knowledge, skills and expertise to identify opportunities in line with Kew’s strategic business plan and product management vision. We are particularly keen to explore opportunities in new media applications (iPhone/iPpad, Android, Twitter, mobile) and/or game product management so knowledge, skills and experience in these areas would be welcomed.

Educated to degree level in a relevant subject or with equivalent experience, you will be an experienced product manager. You will have experience of presenting technology projects within Government or the private sector, and have the capability to manage commercial and sales pipelines. A good track record of identifying sustainable, innovative products and bringing them to market is essential. A natural communicator, able to influence at senior level, and with a flair for relating to customers, establishing new contacts and networking, you will thrive on identifying future trends and locating funding sources.
