Kew Publishing is the publishing house of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. We produce over 30 new titles each year, for both popular and specialist audiences of all ages. Through our publications we inspire and educate people about Kew’s work and provide access to Kew’s unique heritage, collections, knowledge and cutting-edge expertise.
Our list of over 500 titles includes bestselling and award winning books on plant science, horticulture, history and art. Our specialist list comprises floras, checklists, field guides and illustrated botanical monographs on key subject areas such as orchids, trees and medicinal plants.
Our serial publications include the scientific journal Kew Bulletin, Curtis’s Botanical Magazine, published for over two centuries and famous for its illustrations, and Kew Magazine for our members and supporters
Marston Book Services Ltd handle all trade order processing, customer service, warehousing and distribution functions in the UK and other territories (excluding USA, Canada and Mexico). The University of Chicago Press manages our trade sales orders in North America and Mexico.
These partnerships and operational arrangements ensure that our publications are easily available and accessible to global audiences. They support Kew’s role in sharing its resources and knowledge with the science and education community.
You can buy our books online, from the shops at Kew Gardens and Wakehurst Place or in many good bookshops. All proceeds go to supporting the work of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew.
